The IKEA experience

Well, its Saturday ... we need some stuff for our room ... what shall we do?
Let's go to IKEA. We're in Finland, there's no other place in the world we can go to IKEA, so let's go and spend half an day there *omgh*. :-D

At half past 12 I met Anne @ the Central railway station in Helsinki. Just a few minutes walk from there you can reach the KIASMA - Museum of contemporary arts, where the free IKEA bus is leaving.

Looks like a IKEA bus :-). Like in Vienna or somewhere else.

The KIASMA museum - a quite modern building.

Right in front of the bus ... a lot of Haaga-Helia students who tried to get on the bus, which already had been full. Bad thing.

Just 20 minutes ride away from the city center we arrived at IKEA Vantaa.

Welcome to IKEA.

Looks like ... furniture :P

Let's try the mattresses.

Bathroom stuff

yeah, I like 'em.
The famous Köttbullar Fleischbällchen at IKEA Food.

Famous as well.

And my (quite cheap) lunch for today. Köttbullar with fries and cowberry-jam.

After our extensive IKEA visit (I bought stuff for EUR 1,40 :P) we visited the finnish "Media Markt". It was "just a bit" smaller *gg*.

Same things like at home.

Because IKEA bus left at 5 o' clock we were thinking about taking the public bus, but the one didn't show up for half an hour. So we walked back to IKEA to catch the IKEA bus, which was ontime.

Before coming back home I had to get some food for todays dinner. At the K-Market I found a nice "Kinkkukiusaus" for the microwave. It's like Schinkenfleckerln but with smashed potatoes instead of pasta. That was quite good.

Sunset viewed from my balcony.

At night, we decided to go out. On this Saturday it was completely calm in the city, just a few people walking arround ... nothing in comparence to yesterday ...
Nevertheless we've found a bar which serves a Carlsberg beer for EUR 5,40 :-). Oh my dear.
